Assistant Management

Assistant Management

Top managers of companies and institutions are no longer considered to be the only harbingers of knowledge about the running of affairs. Just below them are other persons who are also endowed with some authority and power not only to assist them but also take decisions in the absence of top managers.

Assistant mangers are mostly found in companies and institutions with a high level of managerial and supervisory powers and are entrusted with the capacity to subordinate top management staff members. In some cases they run the bureau of their boss, booking appointments and running even executive errands on their behalves.

It is a new academic domain born out of the need to have personnel assisting top managers of highly stratified institutions and companies. The programme seeks to embed candidates with skills in leadership, organization, communication, conflict management and financial management, file processing, writing of administrative correspondences etc.

Candidates for this programme must have at least an Ordinary Level certificate of its equivalent. However, candidates with higher certificates seeking to increase their knowledge or boost their cv are also admitted.

The programme is designed to run for one year sanctioned at the end by a Diploma in Assistant Manager recognized by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training.

Employment Opportunities
