Cooperate Communications

Cooperate Communications is an important aspect of communication which is gradually gaining prominence with the modern world of today. With a growing private sector and more non-state institutions and organisations cooperate communication has come to serve this growing market of institutional and organizational communications. Cooperate communicators have a varied medium of intervention ranging from public to Para public and private organization, national and international institutions.

Studies and Duration

The programme runs for two academic years and opened to holders of the GCE Advanced Level in at least two subjects excluding Religious studies. It is a theoretical and practical training including a mandatory internship supervised by experts. Each student is requested to prepare and defend a project and take the national exams as requirements for the award of the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Cooperate Communications by the Ministry of Higher Education under the academic mentorship of the Yaoundé Advanced School of Mass Communication (ASMAC).

Employment Opportunities

Basically graduates from the department of cooperate communications are trained to serve in organisations and institutions where the put into practice their skills of organizational communications. They can serve in the communication department of organizations, institutions, both public and private including the military especially if the graduate is working with the military. They are also involved in marketing and public relations for companies.
