Management

Management

In the early days after independence in most African countries, public, para public and private companies were mostly managed by people who could basically read and write or people who had the basics of general education. With the passage of time coupled with globalization, competition and result-based leadership, most managers with these backgrounds faced challenges and in some cases were unable to maximize output to the satisfaction of shareholders. This necessitated a specialized training for managers with skills of leadership with a define purpose and leadership that animates and boosts staff strength. It therefore becomes incumbent to have a lion leading elephants than an elephant leading a group of lions.
