Supply Chain Management

The process of sourcing raw materials, production and supply is a complex dynamism needing expert knowledge to create net profit value. Supply Chain management seeks to unravel the insight of sourcing raw materials and its affiliates necessary for production and supply of goods and services by companies and organisations. The interdisciplinary programme equips students with knowledge to carryout market and economic analyses, evaluate, manage and improve services in the supply chain process.

Structure of studies and duration

The programme seeks to train senior managers in companies, industries, organization involved in the production of goods and services and logistics management and focused is placed on logistics management, cost management, distribution and inventory management, logistic global trends, accounting, project management etc. Aspiring students must have at least a Bachelor degree in Transport and Logistics or any social science field and display a high sense of maturity. The programme is highly recommended for candidates with some years of experience. It is purely professional and runs for four semesters involving theory and practice. Each student undertakes a supervised internship in a recognized structure and defends an end of course thesis as requirements for the award of a Master of Business Administration (Professional Master’s) Degree in Supply Chain Management by the University of Bamenda and recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates are employed mostly in companies and industries, organization, national, international, airports, seaports to work as logistic manager, logisticians, supply chain manager, senior analyst in supply chain management, operations manager, purchasing agent etc.
