Healthcare Management

Healthcare Management

In the past, doctors and nurses have been combining both medical treatment and hospital management. In most cases, managerial appointments take them away from their medical practice while patients go without adequate healthcare. With the development of division of labour and effective specialization the need for skilled personnel who would concentrate on the administrative and managerial aspects of health facilities while doctors and nurses give their time to patients have arisen. This has necessitated the training of Healthcare Managers who work in health facilities even though not being part of the technical crew.
